WimPing is a tiny application designed to test the connectivity strength between your computer and a remote one by sending ping commands to IP addresses or domain names.
It doesn't integrate complex options or customization preferences, making it accessible to all types of users, even the ones inexperienced with ping tools.
Requires .NET Framework to work properly
There is no setup kit available. Instead, WimPing is wrapped in a single executable file that can be saved to a preferred directory on the disk or copied to a removable storage unit, in order to seamlessly launch it on any PC with minimum effort.
It doesn't add new entries to the system registry or create files on the disk without your permission. However, it was built with the aid of .NET Framework, so you must have this platform installed to get it up and running without any issues.
Enter IP addresses or domain names to send pings
As far as the interface goes, the software application adopts a standard .NET Framework form and doesn't put emphasis on graphical elements, preferring to focus on functionality instead.
All you have to do is type or paste the IP address of a computer or a website name, as well as click a button to start sending the ping signal. This operation is executed continuously until you manually halt it.
During this time, you can check out the time and date of each sent ping, along with the URL or IP address, status (e.g. success, timed out), and roundtrip time (milliseconds). All of these details can be saved to a plain text document for closer inspection, by specifying not only the output directory and file name, but also the extension.
Evaluation and conclusion
Unsurprisingly from such a small-sized utility, it had minimal impact on the computer's performance in our tests, running on a low amount of CPU and RAM. No error dialogs popped up and it didn't freeze or crash.
Although it doesn't contain more advanced options, WimPing delivers a straightforward solution for sending pings to remote computers. It's geared toward all types of users.

Hey, I’m currently working on an application for our little website and your feedback will be highly appreciated.
This application will be available free of charge, yet to be tested for some time, as we’re not yet fully sure about the stability and overall quality of the finished application.
Yet, we have had some quick feedback from users, so we
Send a ping command to a server (or a list of them).
– Type the IP address (incl. hostname) or domain name of a website (must be a valid one)
– Select between automatic or manual ping operation
– A few extra ping functions are added:
– The PingExpired property is used to view if a ping to a website is still active or timed out
– Ping is called automatically if the “Ping URL” or “Ping IP” buttons are clicked
– A property called “Target IP” is used to retrieve the IP address of a website
– You can set the output file name and target directory (i.e. “D:\documents\Windows\*”)
– You can copy the file to a USB drive or any other removable media (which can be automatically booted on any other PC) to start from scratch on a different PC
– The Program name is displayed in the “Help” window
– The program will not add entries to the system registry
– No toolbars are added
– No spyware was detected during our tests
The interface is simple and easy to use

This sample demonstrates the process of integrating Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2011 to a web application that was developed using ASP.NET WebForms.
Microsoft Dynamics CRM has 3 major categories, which include
– Microsoft Dynamics CRM Online
– Microsoft Dynamics CRM on-premises
– Microsoft Dynamics CRM 3rd Party
Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2011 uses Microsoft web services to expose their own web services, whereas 3rd party business application would have their own web services exposed.
Here we can see Microsoft CRM services are exposed by using ASP.NET Web services. By using Microsoft CRM 2011 services we can access the CRM database through CRM 2011 web services. With web services we can create web services in any programming language that supports web services.
Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2011 Web services are deployed on the server and are responsible for many important functions such as,
– accessing the CRM database
– connecting to other Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2011 web services
– update the CRM database
– starting and stopping the CRM service
– manage and view the CRM users and logins
– reading the CRM data
– creating, updating and deleting the CRM database records
– etc.
This sample shows how to add Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2011 web service and web service client as an external reference of web application.
